The exclusive Grey Oaks Country Club is seeking to hire a Sous Chef. Position requires highly enthusiastic, member visible professional engaging personality. Our food and beverage calendar offers a full range of social events including wine dinners, theme nights, special events, golf and tennis socials and a la carte dining. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and coordinate personnel and daily activities of the kitchen staff
  • Establish standardized recipes and specifications to ensure a high level of consistency
  • Ensure a highly professional atmosphere in the kitchen with an emphasis on cleanliness, order, sanitation, team and safety
  • Establish and maintain effective cost control measures for both food as well as labor; again within the constraints of the budget
  • Meet and exceed member expectations
  • Actively solicit the feedback of the kitchen staff, service staff and members as to all menu offerings
  • Foster an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual respect for all employees
  • Participate in daily line-ups for the culinary and service staffs
  • Undertake special projects as assigned by the Executive Chef
