Grey Oaks

Grey Oaks Country Club, is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Racquets Professional.  As an Assistant Racquets Professional, you will assist the Director of Racquets in developing, implementing, executing and promoting the Club's tennis and pickleball programs while providing members and guests with outstanding service. 

Your role has a critical impact in growing and retaining membership and providing effective coaching skills and programs to the membership is important!  To be successful, you need to be self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision and interact with members at a sophisticated level, as you're representing the Club's culture/ brand.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Assist Director in tennis and pickleball socials, special events, leagues, and private lessons
  • Assist in develop newsletters, ads and other communications
  • Provide exceptional service, professional advice and assistance to members and their guests
  • Assist in marketing and promotion of all club events and services
  • Assist the Pro Shop Team with purchasing, special orders, receipt, display, promotion, sales, inventory and merchandise
  • Instruct private lessons and group clinics
  • Interprets and enforces tennis and pickleball rules, regulations, and club policies
  • Racquets Reception Desk coverage, including Point of Sale and Reservation duties as needed
  • Play tennis and pickle ball with members and guests of all levels
  • String rackets

Educational and Experience Required

  • USPTA Certified Professional - Elite Level and Pickleball Certified
  • Minimum 3 years of experience coaching Tennis and Pickleball, preferably at a high-end Private Club environment
  • USTA rating of 5.0 or above and USTA Safeplay
  • High School Diploma/Equivalent/GED

Skills & Requirements

  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, POS, preferably Northstar
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, work well independently and within a team
  • Must be a quick learner
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional appearance at all times
  • Experience in a Country Club and or Golf Club environment
