About the Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for cleaning building areas, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for Members and Employees, and providing regular and emergency maintenance support as needed at Grey Oaks Country Club. This position reports to the Facilities Supervisor.

Considered one of the premier Country Clubs in Florida, Grey Oaks opened in 1993 and encompasses the Grey Oaks and Estuary communities, along with 54 holes of championship golf. The Club's facilities include a 63,000-square-foot east clubhouse, 12,000-square-foot golf pro shop, golf performance center, 30,000-square-foot wellness center, sports center, and the pool café, a 22,000-square-foot complex with indoor and outdoor dining overlooking an expansive resort-style pool with a wading entrance, waterfall, and lap lanes. About You

You have good mechanical skills and have proven work experience as a maintenance technician or similar jobs. You are flexible with your time, and can make yourself available to work when needed, including some weekends and evenings. You communicate very well with all levels of co-workers, as you will be working throughout our various departments.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain building systems and facility equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, install and modernize various existing systems.
  • Perform a variety of general maintenance activities such as carpentry, electrical, etc.
  • Carry out system checks as required.
  • Fix and correct minor issues (changing light bulbs, door hardware, plumbing, painting, etc.) at the direction of the Facilities Supervisor
  • Install systems components such as lighting, HVAC, alarms, etc
  • Minor plumbing maintanence
  • Ensure building entrances are free of clutter at all times.
  • Spray weeds
  • Blow sidewalks, walkways, and driveways
  • Pick up garbage from bushes and common areas.
  • Clean cobwebs from walls and ceilings.
  • Wash exterior windows
  • Pressure wash sidewalks, walkways, and driveways
  • All other duties as assigned by management


  • Experience as a Maintenance Technician, Porter or similar job
  • Advanced skills in areas mentioned above
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Availability to work in shifts and flexible schedules (weekends and evenings)
  • High school diploma or equivalent desired, but not required.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
